It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you all that our November trip has been cancelled. This makes the first time in nearly 10 years that we have had to cancel a trip…and as those of you all that have followed us over the years know, we have had our share of challenges along the way, beginning nearly 10 years ago with our first ever trip just after the earthquake. This may be the most discouraging of circumstances though…we have come so far and have been gaining so much momentum, it is difficult to put on the brakes now.

Fear not though, we remain committed and are already planning 2 – 3 trips in 2020. We will not be daunted by the current challenges related to political unrest in the country. It is, however, so heartbreaking to see the difficulties our friends, patients and just the general population are having to cope with for such an extended period – schools and hospitals closed or closing due to lack of necessary supplies, severely limited access to food and clean water and literally no access to fuel which is required for normal operations and movement in society.

That said, these deserving people have placed their trust in us and we will redouble our efforts to assist them in obtaining the sustainable medical services they need. It will never be more necessary once we are able to resume our travels, as it will have been nearly a year from the last time a medical team visited the island.

So, as we press on to maintain our momentum, I hope all who are reading this will keep the people of Haiti in their thoughts and prayers for a peaceful resolution to the political and societal unrest currently challenging the country…

…and I must also ask you to again assist us in our efforts to reach our ultimate goal. We cannot rest and hope you will not rest either. As we enter this holiday season of Thanksgiving and think of all we are blessed with in this country, please make a DONATION so these deserving people will have something they too can feel blessed with.

Thank you in advance, and as always…

Love to All,

The Team
