Good Evening All! In case you were wondering…yes the roosters did crow at 10:45 last night, right on schedule. Anyway, we had a great day. Clinic started at 9am with all translators in place and four providers seeing patients – only about 120 and we were done by about 11am. We are told this may be due to local holiday – will see what tomorrow brings.

After lunch, we had the best delivery – 5 bags with everyone’s food, many more supplies and highly sought after personal items.  Oh happy day! (Only 10 bags to go).

Our 2 inpatients had a good day. Our baby with hydrocephalus, Christopher, may be on his way to getting a visa for travel to USA and hopefully surgery. We have grown attached to him and his mother Christine and ask you keep them in your prayers.

Our boy with brain injury, Oiz slept well last night, ate and drank well and had the best present of all – his 2 sisters, Giset and Noel visited and he recognized them immediately. It was quite a moment. We are sure to see them again and hope for the best possible outcome.

We had some wonderful time with the kids on the roof before dinner – playing, picture taking, dancing, singing and enjoying the cool breeze as the sun set. Did I mention dinner – we were treated to a wonderful traditional Haitian Creole feast of fried veg, banana and potatoes as well as a creole slaw called picklais – very yummy.

After dinner entertainment just concluded with the Amazing Lee’s Magificent Magic Show.

Nearly time for bed because as you know…the roosters will crow.

We love and miss you all but are happy doing this work and feel certain we are where we should be right now. Will write more tomorrow.
