Hello all! We are finally 14 strong since Lee and Chad arrived safely this evening. Our luck is changing – we got some additional supplies with them. Still awaiting quite a bit but hoping this is a trend.
Today we really began working. The Clinic started at 8am and finished at nearly 2pm. Three providers managed to see nearly 250 patients. Its amazing how much you can do when there is no documentation required. We continue to care for 2 post USNS Comfort patients – attempting to get our 4 month old with hydrocephalus to the states for surgery & hoping that our boy with brain injury can make it to a more definitive location for care (not sure there is such a place here right now).
Started our 1st IV for fluids on this boy tonight – bravo to Vanessa.
We are really making attachments within the compound and feel good about the work. We greatly appreciate the support from back home. Love and miss you all. More news tomorrow. Need to try and catch some z’s before the 10:45pm rooster wake-up call.
